Mesquite Local Scoop — Issue #5: Weekend Guide
Mesquite Local Scoop | Issue #5 — Weekend Edition
It's Friday. Here's how to spend your weekend in Mesquite.
Things Worth Your Time This Weekend
1. Mesquite Championship Rodeo. One of the longest-running rodeos in Texas. If you haven't been — or haven't been in a while — this is Mesquite culture at its best.
2. Mesquite Arts Center. Rotating exhibits, local artists, and community events. A gem that most Mesquite residents have never visited. Worth a Saturday afternoon.
3. Support a Local Restaurant. Mesquite has a surprisingly strong local dining scene. Skip the chain this weekend and hit a locally-owned spot. Reply to this email and tell us your favorite — we'll feature it in an upcoming issue.
4. Drive the East Corridor. Take a drive down US-80 or I-635 and pay attention to what's being built. New commercial developments, new subdivisions, new businesses. The city is actively growing — seeing it in person puts it in perspective.
5. Start That Thing You've Been Putting Off. If you're a Mesquite business owner or entrepreneur — use this weekend to take one step forward. Make the call. Write the plan. File the LLC. The city is growing and there's room for what you're building.
Enjoy your weekend, Mesquite. See you Monday.
